Infliximab is a TNF-inhibitor biologic infusion used to treat a range of inflammatory autoimmune conditions. At Scottsdale Rheumatology Center, infliximab infusions are administered in our in-house infusion suite by specially trained nurses, with physicians overseeing every step of your care.

Infliximab is typically infused over about 2 hours, with an initial loading schedule at weeks 0, 2, and 6, followed by maintenance infusions every 6 to 8 weeks. Our nurses monitor patients closely throughout each visit, and physicians remain involved in adjusting your treatment plan as needed.
Before starting infliximab, our physicians review your medical history, including screening for infections such as tuberculosis and hepatitis. During infusions, our nursing team monitors for reactions and is trained to respond promptly. Discuss the full risks and benefits of infliximab with your rheumatologist.
